Below are rules i've tweaked to help provide a slight simulative gain without breaking the rules. To wit...
Each point of damage will reduce all damaged platform attacks by one die, to a minimum of one die.
All crippled submarines are required to "surface." Crippled subs are now subject to non ASW attacks.
Crippled subs are Not subject to ASW attacks.
A carrier gets to base a number of aircraft sections equal to its number of aircraft icons times two.
Each turn a carrier may launch aircraft sections equal to the carrier's aircraft icons.
Aircraft must spend one turn rearming, just like at an airbase.
Ships with extended range attacks subtract one attack die per zone of extended range.
Ships attacking smaller ships with main batteries must subtract one attack die per hull point of difference.
Players may stack a number of units per sector equal to ten hull points. each unit of aircraft equals one hull point.
